Classic boxers return to cheers
If you've been an aficionado of Nordstrom's Classic Boxers and were questioning your allegiance to the brand after being able to find only a cheap imitation of them in their stores today, take heart, for the classic boxers that are true to the old spec can be had on line. In recent years, Nordstrom stripped the old boxers of one button on the waistband, which made them bunch up in the middle, removed stitching from the elastic waistband, which made the boxer less sturdy, used thinner cotton cloth, and changed the sizing to S-M-L from the more accurate inches of waist. They were terrible! Thank you Nordstrom for realizing the error of your ways and for again making available the true, classic boxer. Aficionados -- buy extra in case they disappear again.

On the first day of the anniversary sale early access, I went to my local Nordstrom and bought (among other things) two 3-packs of this type of underwear for my husband, who had agreed to try them again, ONLY BECAUSE it said online that these were "improved" or "return of the classic" (which he loved) boxers with higher quality fabric and 2-button fly. Imagine our surprise to find that these were not 2-button fly, and the fabric was the same cheap material as we received last year. Thinking that perhaps my local store was just trying to get rid of the bad stock, I ordered two more 3-packs online. WE RECEIVED THE EXACT SAME ITEM! What a complete disappointment. I never thought that Nordstrom would do something like this. Now I plan to return these to the store. Do I dare even open yet another 3-pack and see if they're actually as advertised? Very disappointing.

I would not purchase these again. While the quality has risen slightly since my last purchase of the Nordstrom Branded Boxers, the quality today is simply not there. The material is very thin and makes the boxers feel a bit uncomfortable. The elastic band is also of less quality material and it also adds to the overall to a poor quality product. Move on and find another product because this one will not work for you.

To be honest, I'm surprised that Nordstrom would put their brand on these boxers. In my opinion, these are pretty terrible boxers. The material is very thin, the shape of boxers is bizarre (kinda skirt shaped), they look and feel cheap. But they weren't...
