Woven Insulated Military Vest

It fits comfortably, though a little larger in the waist (probably because it is “oversized fit “). It insulates well, but doesn’t make him feel too warm. The vest has nice big pockets. I wouldn’t use them to hold items while running though because they don’t zip. Overall the vest is functional and cozy.

In all honesty it did keep my core warmer when warn underneath my winter jacket in the 25 degree weather walking by the water. It’s oversized though and that isn’t ideal for wearing underneath another coat. The material wasn’t soft or cozy but it did keep me warmer walking around in the wind. I tried the vest in pale grey so it’s not a color I’d choose to wear on its own. It didn’t have enough detail to be worn on its own, but it’s great underneath another winter coat to keep your core warm. It’s a very nice option in New England winters. It’s lightweight but warm which is nice. I’d honestly just like it to be tighter fitting for underneath another winter coat. It didn’t have enough detail to be worn in its own. I’d also like it to be softer. Then again my son disagreed and I suspect he’ll be wearing it! He’s already said he’s taking it to school tomorrow for recess. He loved it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vest has a great oversized fit. Definitely buy your true size or even size down for this one. The quilted look is IN and these vests have that perfect look! As far as functionality, it’s been a little chilly the past week and I was able to break this out and test it. For being thin and lightweight, it did a great job of keeping my core warm. I even had to shed it during a long walk. The only thing I would change about this vest is the size of the armpit holes. I think I could stick my entire head in there.

It’s also oversized, which has been perfect for laying over a thick sweater or hoodie. There are also button holes on the bottom on each side and on the back of the neck in the vest to attach to a jacket worn overtop. The buttons on the front of the vest are sturdy and also appreciate the vest is quilted. I’ve worn this vest to sporting events and the v neck shape has been great under an athletic jersey.

Overall, it was far too large and the name of the vest is misleading. It is not well insulated and is too thin and flimsy to be anything other than a stylistic piece. Additionally it was described as a tactical vest and only had one small pocket on each side. It would be more accurate to rename the vest to Box Cut Woven Vest. If the main goal of the vest is to be a stylish add to an outfit it should still be made a little bit smaller and a bit more insulated. If it is really trying to be a tactical military vest it needs far more pockets.

It’s soft but feels durable. The design of the vest is nice. It can be dressed up or worn with a sweatshirt. My husband wears it over his sweatshirts for work but he also wears it under his cost for an extra warm layer when he’s working outside.
