Women's ACG Nylon Shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try these shorts! Even though the material did not feel super soft when I first picked it up, it's actually quite comfortable and it feels very durable. The only issue for me was that the waist was a bit tight. It's quite a thick waist band with a draw string so not quite sure why it had to be tight overall. The thing I LOVE is the pockets! So hard to find exercise shorts with pockets that can be zipped up! I also appreciate that the pockets are mesh, so it feels lighter somehow and does not bulk up my hips. Overall I did like the shorts, but would probably have purchased a bigger size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shorts are cute and the additional ring for attaching a caribiner/clip and netted zip pockets were great. I love that these are more sustainably made. However, as a short women with some fluff, they were not flattering on me. The length of the crotch was too long, leading to some “pooching” which made be feel self-conscious wearing these. Putting the waistband lower on my hips got rid of the “pooch” but wasn’t comfortable. I think these would be work well for taller women.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love hiking clothes and wear lots of hiking pants but this was my first pair of shorts. I typically avoid shorts as I like to protection on my legs. However occasionally it is nice to have shorts for those hotter days or when you just don't want to wear pants. These shorts, to be honest, felt like I really wasn't wearing anything at all. The fabric feels like it is high quality and very lightweight. There are huge pockets as well as a tiny clip you could clip your keys on. I really enjoy this new style for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try these ACG shorts; the idea of durable clothing made of sustainable materials seemed like a total win. Unfortunately, I was not impressed by the shorts. I tried a size XL, as I carry my weight around my middle. They fit around my waist just fine - they were not tight and they were not loose (a large would have been too tight), but even at the correct size I could literally feel the elastic of the rough fabric around my waist and it was uncomfortable. I also did not like that when I walked or jogged, the bottom hem of the shorts "hugged" my thighs but the rest of the fabric seemed stiff and puffed out like old-school balloon pants. They fit my waist well but just seemed too big all over. I would not want to wear them out for people to see them on me. That said, the fabric is perfect for a day at the beach - sand will easily brush right off of them. The features I did love were the generously sized pockets, with zippers! I hate worrying about losing my ID or phone with large open pockets, so the zippers are an awesome addition. There is also a little triangular key ring on the waist which is helpful too. Unfortunately though, these are not going to be my go-to shorts with the exception of the occasional beach day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first try on these shorts are giant. I thought they would be unflattering but they actually fit great! The material is pretty stiff and crinkly but not loud to walk in. It’s perfect for camping and hiking in as the dirt just wiped off and they shed water. I can’t give a higher rating because of the material texture which isn’t comfy to just hang out in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pretty excited about these shorts and had high hopes for wearing them for camping/hiking/kayaking, etc, and I guess in functionality, these shorts still fit the bill. They are comfortable, the fabric is nice and feels durable, the little "carabiner hook" is a neat feature, and I liked the idea of the longer length, but unfortunately, they just don't look very good. The lightweight material is a bit "billowy" and made me look and feel a lot bigger/frumpier than I'd like to think I am lol. I wore these around the house and kept coming back to the mirror to see if they were growing on me, because they really are comfortable and wanted them to work, but I just couldn't do it. I need clothes to both look and feel good on my body, and unfortunately, these didn't pass the test for both. I ended up giving them to my mother-in-law, who I feel is a much better "target market" for these shorts (in her 60's, but very athletic) and she's thrilled with them. ;)
