Do not buy
I was not a fan of these shoes. They’re loose and do not hold the child’s foot firmly in place. Also where there are holes in the front part, my son’s feet started to have scabs around his big toe and small toe. The bottom of the shoe also does not have a good grip to prevent a child from falling when running.

First Pair of Sandals Success
My son is 15 months old and recently started walking. I was looking for an easy to put on, closed toe, and comfortable pair of first sandals. I ordered a size 5 first, but there was little room to grow so I ordered the 6 instead. I would say these run small. The 6 fit with room to grow. They stay on his feet, unless he pulls them off. He can easily walk in them and they protect the front of his toes.

summer staple, great for beginner walkers
Got these for my 1 year old son who’s walking. I love how lightweight they are! He knows when I put them on that we are going to go outside. They’ve held up pretty well so far when he plays with his water table and they get drenched. They dry up pretty quickly! Definitely going to buy these again and again for each summer!
