Great material but runs small
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the blue color of these shorts and the material is great for living in Georgia. My choice of exercise is not running so I wouldn’t normally grab for this style as an every day option. I’m not used to shorts having a built in liner so to me this seemed to run smaller for the size XL that I normally wear. I would wear these shorts on vacation and at the beach.

Good, but a bit slim on muscular legs
Love the built-in layer and fabric. I have muscular thighs and glutes, so the fabric does ride up a bit while running. It stays out of the way but would love to see a cut that can accommodate a sprinter/power-type build

Excellent running shorts for training or race day
I'm an armature runner and am not crazy about very short running shorts. After trying the flex stride 2-in-1 5" and 7", I settled on the flex stride 7" brief. I have a couple of pairs and these are now my go-to shorts. I train in them and also ran my first marathon in these. On race day they performed perfectly and I experienced very little chaffing. The two front pockets are ample and they easily held my gloves and a thin beanie. The back zip pocket is great for a couple of gels, but too small for a large iphone. There is also a secret drop-in pocket in the brief for a key, but I don't use this. The brief is comfortable and supportive. The leg holes are wide enough that I can also wear these over tights in cold weather. It would be great to see a pair of these without a liner to have the option of wearing them for more then one workout before going in the wash.

Great fit!
Nike never lets us down! So proud that Nordstrom carries affordable, high-quality stuff that is really needed and used! We live out where there’s no sidewalks and street lights. Hubby will definitely be seen!
