Air Zoom Pegasus Premium Running Shoe (Men)

Great looking shoe for sure. And I was excited to get the unique midsole. Unfortunately, these shoes just feel weird, especially if you over pronate. I'm a neutral runner. No matter how I shifted the insole, the shoes (particularly the left for me) made me feel like I was pronating. Also the outsole is narrow. I read a review from someone saying it feels like 'running on a balance beam'. I understand the assessment. My feet don't feel planted properly and kinda feel a bit 'wobbly'. I especially notice this on carpet, treadmill, or anything other than rock hard ground. I don't feel a sense of confidence running. I REALLY want to love these shoes, but not for me. The Infinity Run 4s are great for walking, but a bit too 'memory-foamy' for running. The Vomero 18s are probably my favorite newish Nike running shoes, with the right amount of cushioning and springiness, for a low/moderate intensity runner like me. If you decide to take the plunge, I suggest your TTS for Nikes, maybe a half size up if you have wider/flatter feet. Here's a photo comparing the three. I love this shoe so much, the compression of the full length air unit is amazing, it's incredibly comfortable and gives you just enough pop to keep moving even when your legs are just a bit tired and sore. It's also pretty heavy which is great for training on easy runs since it makes running in a lighter shoe feel even easier and more efficient. This shoe also helps build efficiency on easy runs too, helping you maintain proper form and giving good feedback throughout the foot strike and through each stride. I will say however the shoe is not the most stable partly due to stack height and partly due to the air unit, so anyone who has ankle issues, specifically posterior tibial tendon issues may want to be careful using this shoe, since it's potentially easier to unintentionally over pronate. That being said I've had no issues with it as someone who typically wears a neutral shoe. This shoe is also durable and has great traction, but it would be a poor choice to run on dirt / gravel or anywhere where sharp rocks are present since it could damage the exposed portion of the air unit. Overall I can't say enough good things about this shoe, when used for the right purpose I really don't think there's any better option out there, it's very unique and extremely enjoyable to run in.
