It really is perfect here's why
Covers any type of bra you are wearing, including full-coverage types. Has wide shoulder straps and high, but not too-high, sides.Has exactly the right amount of spandex; doesn't cling like second skin, but fits closely enough to wear under anything w/o added thickness. Pairs well with all those tops that need a base layer that is very visible. Would also wear alone or to exercise. Is available in petite for short-waisted women, which is a major bonus because regular-length camis with spandex tend to bunch around the middle making your waist look thicker.

Uncomfortable
The underarms were cut too high. I am thin, with thin arms, and the armholes were still too small.

This tank has changed from the original
I recently purchased this tank in 4 new colors. I loved the previous version of this tank - wore it as a shell unders suits for work, and also by itself for more casual look. I assumed the new tanks would be the same. They are not, and the customer service person at Nic and Zoe confirmed they did indeed change the spec. I noticed the cut was looser and the fabric was at least one grade lighter/less dense. It is not a bad product, but I think now it is overpriced compared with the original. The original version of this tank fit perfectly, was flattering and polished. The new version has lost its edge, and I am disappointed they changed the formula.

Skin tight!
Ok, if I am young and slim, tight would be fine. But a size large that fits like second skin? Somehow the two do not go well together. Still, I should have remembered that Nick and Zoe is really a junior brand.... I ordered 3 and kept 1 which I'll wear as a cami because it looks awful unless covered. I had hoped to be able to wear them with open shirts. I'll try exchanging the others for a petite XL even though I am a size 12. I wish someone would bring back jersey tanks with NO spandex and not cut 2 sizes too small to take advantage of the spandex.

Too much spandex
To me, a "perfect" tank should fit comfortably and a little loosely. This tank is very snug, not my definition of a comfortable layering piece. Sent it back.

Good Basic Tank
I've purchased two or three of these Nic & Zoe tanks, and I especially like the off-white or "Milk White" color. I'm 103 lbs, 5'5" and ordered a size medium. It's fitted across the chest (35") and slightly looser everywhere else. Also like the neckline, not too high, not too low. Will order this tank again.
