2-Stage Washable Crib Mattress

We love this mattress! Our baby was in the SNOO bassinet and we felt he was super safe in there, but moving him to the crib was a bit scary. He became a stomach sleeper so we knew we needed something very breathable and this is it! It gives me so much comfort to know he is ok when he is sleeping on this mattress. !0/10 would recommend!

So is you’ve done any research (googling) you know that the term “breathable” when used to describe a mattress is poppycock (yea I just used that word) & that firm mattresses are safe so long as they’re certified. However, what people don’t talk about enough with the Newton is the comfortability. My baby, like most of us, likes to be in padded comfy beds. I’ve struggled HARD with sleep & she tends to wake very easily. The Newton is a different breed of baby mattresses. It actually has some give & feels padded and not like a cardboard with a changing pad on top like most baby mattresses do. I have it in full crib size as well as mini crib size. A baby who needs to be cozy will not sleep safely in an adult bed but won’t sleep soundly in a baby bed, that’s where Newton shines for me.

We bought this mattress when expecting because of the review with the picture of the baby sleeping facedown. It seemed like a great choice if that baby was safe sleeping like that. After our baby was born we discovered he also prefers to sleep facedown. We never worried about him sleeping like that with this mattress. It’s a great quality, firm (but not hard), easy to change the sheets, and very easy to clean up if needed. The cover zips right off, can be thrown in the washing machine, and dries quickly. It was definitely worth the money and peace of mind.
