Good Shoe
Own a pair of 992's which are several years old with NO tears or rips what so ever. I expect my new 993's to last just as long. Good shoe to wear if you have flat feet or wear orthonics.

Quality control issue
Overall I expected higher quality and better construction. The suede on my pair had several scratches and a yellow painted arrow near one of the eyelets for the shoelaces. This yellow printed arrow also went on another part of the shoe below that the laces would not cover. Overall I'm very upset with my purchase and I returned them.

Good Shoe

NB 993's
Having been blessed from birth with Shoe Box shaped feet , it's a real pleasure to find a pair that truly fit! The width is true and shoes are really comfortable. I will purchase again.

Most comfortable sneaker I've ever worn
I'm not a runner, but I bought these shoes upon a recommendation from a friend. They are without a doubt the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. I do occasionally jog with them on, but will also typically just wear them around the city (I actually two own pairs to keep the "runners" separate from the "walkers"). I can comfortably wear these all day long, and they are my go-to travel shoes since they're great for walking around a random city or running through the airport terminal to catch your flight. Long story short: if you want a fantastic pair of sneakers, buy the 993s.

10 years running (pun intended)
I've been wearing the New Balance 990 series (991, 992, now 993) since I was a freshman in college, about 10 years. They have basically set the standard for me when it comes to an all purpose comfortable casual running/walking/everyday tennis shoe.

Only athletic show for me
Having a very narrow foot (2A) it is really hard for me to find shoes that fit but this one fits well, is very comfortable and breaths really well. This will be my first pair of 993's but I've owned about 4 pairs of 992's and one pair of 991's and they have always been great. I wear these shoes all day, every day and they still last me anywhere from 1 and a half to 2 years so they're durable as well.
