A very comfortable shoe
I love this shoe! It has an ample toe box but the heel fits well (not too wide). My orthotics fit in nicely. I'm not a runner. I wear these through a long day of gym, walking, and errand-running and they're still comfortable and supportive at the end of the day.

All the reviews say not to size down so I listened! I’m a 7.5 in women and they were so big!I could have easily gotten a 6.5. Now they’re sold out :(

Versatile sneakers
I run and walk a LOT and New Balance is my FAVORITE brand! This brand can be a hit or miss when it comes to sizing, make and model. The last time I purchased New Balance similar to 990 version? It was stylish, and it felt durable. They were expensive and very stiff. I decided to purchase the NB 990v5 and it did not feel HEAVY from what other reviewers wrote. To the contrary they felt SOFT. I highly recommend to get your normal size. I sized down and it was a BIG mistake! When they arrived, they felt very tight! If you are planning to wear these sneakers with light socks they will work. I normally wear thick running socks and sizing down made it very tight!

I would NOT size down
These are hard to get in your size! I’m usually a 6.5 or 7 ,so I got a 6 since New Balance and reviews said to size down. I was so disappointed; the 6 was so snug, probably because that was not my regular size lol. Had to return them. Would have tried on in store but again they are rarely in stock so I had to risk another reorder in a new size.
Luckily, a week or 2 after my return, a 7 came in and I snatched it right up. It fits like a 6.5 so I could even go up to a 7.5 for a comfortable fit. Saying all this to say get your regular size or if you are in between sizes, get the next half size up but do NOT size down. Caution on the construction. I’m not picky with craftsmanship but this just doesn’t look right; though it’s a really small defect. I’m still keeping this pair.

Like bricks
SO heavy and chunky. I didn't find them to be something i would want to run in. And once i tried them.on they looked more like a man's shoe than women's. not the most flattering on the foot even though that's not the primary purpose of buying running shoes, its definitely something I take into account.

so comfy!
I saw these at the NB store and fell in love! Originally bought the black in my normal 7 size. The black color with black sole didn’t really suit me and the shoe ran small. Retuned the black and sized up to 7.5 in the grey and I am in love!!! You can’t beat the comfort of NB. You can dress these shoes up or down! Can’t wait to wear them! I felt that they ran a half size small, I sized up a 1/2 like I do for my NB running shoes.
