Nellie Satin Maxi Skirt

I got both brown skirts since I couldn’t quite tell the difference online. Lighter one is more caramel and darker one isn’t that dark more milk chocolate. Lighter one has a wide ish waistband and darker one has a side zip, idk why they are different. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fabric given the price and material and I think it looks more expensive in person. I’m going to keep the lighter one since I prefer the elastic waist and it goes with more of my wardrobe.

I need to investigate further, but the skirt I received is definitely a maxi, not a midi, but I have a ZIPPPER, not an elastic waistband. This is annoying....I am waiting on another manufacturer I ordered...the reason I didn't want a zipper is I feel these satin skirts always bulge weirdly where the zipper is, doesn't seem to skim as smoothly as without a zipper, as the fabric is too thin to not see the bulk of the zipper...I would rather have elastic waistband to not feel binding around the waist.... I will have to see what is what before I rate further....I normally wear an XS or Small, but I ordered Small and Medium so skirt would not cling...the medium fits ok but again not sure about the zipper....as reference I am 5'5" and 117.

I would love this except it’s too big around my waist. I was thinking of getting it taken in, but in that case I don’t think I could get it on over my behind. I’m going to have to return and look for a similar skirt that fits a smaller waist and has a zipper. Also I’m 5’2” and this fit more like a maxi skirt.
