Sierra Brushed Terry Robe

I made this purchase with a few reservations based on a few negative reviews but really wanted a pink robe so decided to purchase this one as I was having a difficult time finding something in stock in a size medium. I included a pic that very accurately shows the color. I personally think it’s very pretty and don’t understand some reviewers describing it as dull or other negative comments about not being a nice pink. It is much prettier than I anticipated. Another negative remark in reviews concerned the fabric being less than comfortable. Yes, out of the package it was not nearly as soft as I wanted but knowing the amazing return service offered by Nordstrom I decided to wash and dry before making a final determination. I washed on regular setting and dried with a dryer sheet and am satisfied that the robe did not shrink and although not a cooshy soft fabric it is not at all uncomfortable. In fact I like it very much. I think most would be extremely pleased with this purchase as I am.

I was initially excited about this robe because it fits great and is a nice weight. I ordered it in pink and the color is very nice. I noticed a faint singed odor when it came out of the package but nothing horrible. As soon as it was in the wash, the burning hair smell became more noticeable. By the time I had dried it, the stink was so bad I hung it outside. I have now washed this robe five or six times with vinegar and various scent-removing additives and it still isn’t wearable. It is starting to pull and look dingy already so it probably wouldn’t have held up anyway. Since I tossed out the tags when I tried it on, I guess I’m just out the cost of the robe when I give up and throw it away.
