Great Everyday Bag
I previously owned the Jane but recently replaced it with this bag. The shoulder strap option was a big plus for me. Also, this bag is much more in proportion. I felt the straps too long for the size of the Jane.
MZ Wallace bags are expensive, but when you own one, you realise they only use the best quality everything! Anyone can see it's a top quality bag and it looks expensive.
The only little thing that irritates me a little about this bag is that the end of the zipper wasn't tucked in. If you look at the picture of the black bag, you can see how it sticks up over the ring where the shoulder strap attaches. I've tried tucking it in myself but the space isn't big enough for it to fit through.
This is an ideal bag for travel. I wouldn't need any other hand carry - all my essentials would fit in this one bag.

Wanted to Love This
Yes, this is a great size, great pockets fore and aft, beautifully constructed, great materials, great pockets inside, beautiful lining, excellent gold tone zippers, great pulls
on zippers---- almost perfect.The soft fullness of the fabric of the pockets is
wonderful. Finally a designer has recognized that tight, flat pockets are almost
unusable.
BUT, I cannot tolerate carrying this lovely bag because the strap is narrow and is
nylon fabric.
Perhaps MZ Wallace great designers will consider a New BELLE with a strap
constructed proportionate to the weight that will be carried in a tote this size.
I think BELLE needs a padded leather strap.
Add up the weight of a 13" laptop, a tablet, a Kindle Fire, a good 35mm digital camera
that I must always carry, an RFID protected wallet for passport, airline cards, credit cards,,etc, etc,, to say nothing of make-up and currency---and there one has quite a load.
I gently unwrapped this beautiful bag and made a trial run in the house. The strap
cut into my shoulder immediately. Even with a jacket/coat the strap was uncomfortable.
So I am returning this beautiful bag.
If one must carry a lot---and many of us want to consolidate the entire package---
the tote must have all of the above features (especially good zippers for all openings)
and an ergonomic strap.

A Tech Gal's Dream Bag
I live in SF and just received this as a birthday present from my hubby. I love it! I use it as a daily work bag (no kids). My laptop, yoga/workout clothes+shoes, moleskins, cords, wallet/keys, makeup bag, etc. all fit in with extra pocket space to spare! I feel so organized having a pocket for everything and a spare pockets! The red trim accents, gold zippers and nylon blend make it seem very regal. The straps are sturdy and feel as I would expect. Straps on other high end bags broke on me a couple times trying to fit in all my daily stuff. I also like the versatility of wearing it as a cross body bag if I decide to walk home or mix it up. The cross body strap is very well designed. It also is not overwhelmingly big to me as always wear work bags that could fit a laptop. All in all, well done Wallace!

Great bag, can fit everything
Got this in the Navy with the Saffiano trim -- it's a great bag that you can wear cross-body or carry over the shoulder with the straps.
You can fit everything into this bag, including a 15" macbook or a large 3-ring binder. One downside is that the cross-body strap is not padded, so it can get quite heavy on your shoulders if you weigh the bag down with lots of stuff.
As for the previous reviewer who said that she could not get the "tail" of the top zipper to tuck in, I was able to tuck mine in without any problems so I don't have it sticking out at the end.

Beautiful!
First I would like to say this bag is everything I thought it would be. It is so beautiful. But on the other hand, I really didn't think it would be so big. This is a large bag and I swear my 25 pound Corgi would fit in it! After much debate and asking numerous people what they thought of it on me, the overall opinion is that it's to big for an everyday bag. Overnight bag, super, travel bag super, just not everyday. So I guess if I go on vacation, I'll order it again, but I can't justify paying $400 for a bag that will sit in a closet and get used who knows when. The other thing is the crossbody strap. If I had this bag packed with even normal things that I drag around everyday, such as an ipad, magazines, ect, random things that probably weighs 10+ pounds in the end, I think this strap would cut in. Just an assumption, but I bet it would.

Great Functionality!
This is by far the most functional purse I have ever owned. With it's ample space and plethora of zippers, it can be used for just about anything. I use it as a briefcase (fits my 15" laptop & iPad) for my commute and my carry on when I travel. When I am home I use it as a purse and diaper bag in one (the Kate diaper bag was a little bulky for me) and I even use it for a night on the town. The fact that it is light weight is a huge help. And I get plenty of compliments on the looks. All in all, this tote is fantastic.
