What it is: A hair clay that gives a dry matte finish and strong hold.

What it does: This non-shine shaping clay uses kaolin and vitamin E for a firm hold and dry finish.

How to use: Use in short hair. Rub a small amount between your fingers and apply evenly through hair that's damp or dry.

Great product

I was happily surprised at how much I like this product. I have previously used Joes Grooming Grooming Compound and have been in search for a replacement for the last year. Murdock’s Matt Mud is the closest replacement I have found. Goes in my dry hair easily and provides hold without looking shiny. I just wish there was more product in each can.

Average at best

Wanted this to be better than it was. Very heavy even for a clay product and seemed to almost make my hair feel matted even with a smaller amount. Container said it’s for shorter hair, would have been good to mention that in the online description.
