What it is: A powerful gel cleanser that combats acne and skin breakouts with a richly lathering formula that strips away pore-clogging grime, oil and irritants.
What it does: This cleanser helps treat and prevent acne breakouts with time-released medication that remains active for hours, even after rinsing. Salicylic acid provides a sustained release of acne medication to allow for hours of acne treatment while silver citrate provides antibacterial protection to inhibit blemish foundation.
How to use: Massage a small amount over dampened face and neck. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

New holy grail
I am typically hesitant to change skin care since I have very sensitive skin and have changed my face wash/cleanser routine only three times in the past 15 years. I recently experienced acne from having oil exposure from frying food for a party (rare) and used the acne spot treatment (first Murad product I’ve tried), which helped a ton. I still had a few red spots and blemish spots that I thought wouldn’t go away unless I got deep peels. So, I decided to give this a try because I was desperate to have clear skin again. After a week of using this cleanser, my acne, red spots and blemishes have decreased and are almost gone. I didn’t experience purging where your skin breaks while adjusting to a new product. The cleanser is a gel formula that foams upon rubbing and has a slight minty scent without stinging your face. My skin felt so soft and smooth after too! Sticking with the cleanser for sure!

Awful! Burned, swollen eyes!
I bought this because I had been breaking out ok my forehead and jawline area more I could remember since I was a teenager. I am in my late 30’s with combination skin. After two nights of using this face wash on my face, my face and neck started to feel itchy and dry. On the morning of the third day, my eyelids were red and slightly swollen! My skin texture felt not only extremely dry and itchy but a weird texture that not only could I feel but see as well! I recall using this wash over a decade ago and it working; but now they have definitely changed something and should have looked into the list of weird ingredients . Even without doing that, I have never had an allergic reaction to any face product EVER! Stay away from this wash!

Great Product
Be wary that this contains different ingredients than the other Clarifying Cleanser offered by Murad. I had assumed that the packaging was simply outdated, but it seems that these are two different products. I plan to give it a try though. I began using a Murad ten months ago and I have been very satisfied with my experience. I am 27 with combination, acne-prone skin and I was hesitant to ditch my Clinique cleanser, which I had used for years. This is not the silver bullet, but I noticed an improvement within two weeks.
