A women's shoe company that specializes in fit, Munro offers one of the largest selections of sizes and widths in the industry, devotedly providing stylish shoes to those with "forgotten feet." The family-owned company is based in Arkansas, where the Munro family and its employees pride themselves on a deep commitment to their customers.
This is the shoe that made me fall in love with the Munro brand. It used to be called the Jolie and it has been discontinued for a few years, much to my disappointment. This is the best walking shoe I have ever purchased. The shoe has a very supportive foot bed and the velcro straps make it very easy to adjust to fit my feet. They are dressy enough to pair with slacks. I'm so very happy that Munro is making this shoe again. I expect to walk many miles in these shoes. I used to buy an 8.5 in this shoe but 8.5 is small for me so you may want to buy a half size up from your usual size.

Not what you would think
It appears that the shoe would be adjustable with the velcro band. However, the tongue is sewed down so the strap is only decorative, not functional. I wanted to like these but they were too big as I couldn't tighten the instep.

Wonderfully comfortable, but it falls apart
VERY mixed feelings about this shoe. First, it's incredibly comfortable, an excellent walking shoe, and I love wearing it.
My problem is the durability of the shoe. I bought it right before knee replacement surgery, used it in the physical therapy gym, so it got very light indoor wear. The velcro of the strap would occasionally rub against the shoe when I crossed my ankles (the straps were closed, not open). Within the first two weeks, the fabric above the heel had started to fray and look awful.
It got to the point that I put the shoes away, intending to return them to Nordstroms, but just never got around to it. A year later, I broke my leg in an accident and was wheelchair-bound, I needed something dark and close-fitting when I went outside, so I got out those shoes--the frayed area is on the left (broken leg) side and would be face-down in the wheelchair legrest so it wouldn't show.
Those shoes are worn once a week at most, so I've potentially worn these things maybe 90-100 times since I purchased them. Besides the fraying, which continued to expand even though the velcro wasn't contacting it, one of the two straps has parted from the shoe. The other shoe seems OK, but there are threads sticking out at the edges, where the fabric joins the sole and such.
If it does all that when I can't even bear weight on the shoe, what in the world happens when you actually wear the shoe and walk long distances in it? Very disappointed, wish I could take them back...despite the fact that they're some of the most comfortable I've ever worn.

Munro canvas Velcro shoes- a disappointment
I have had two pairs of the shoes before and have loved them – they fit perfectly and were very comfortable. Unfortunately, this pair seemed different. The material was not as soft and the fit was too narrow. The tongue of the shoe was too thick, so I could not pull Velcro over it tightly-I was very disappointed and had to return them, although of course at Nordstrom that was no problem.

Dress up or down
-- The top has a mix of suede and cloth
-- I bought to wear to work, so they are dressy enough for work but can be used as a walking shoe. I stand up for most of the day at work, so it was important that the shoe was comfortable.
-- I normally wear a 9.5 shoe, but sometimes wear a 10 for the extra width. I love that these come in wide sizes. 10 wide was too big, 9.5 wide was perfect.
-- I think the velcro adjusts the shoe tightness, but it's not obvious from looking at the shoe that the closure is velcro, so it doesn't look like a sneaker.

Not the Same
I have a pair of these Munro shoes that I bought 12 years ago when they were made differently. That pair (obviously didn’t wear them a lot) finally wore out and I was happy to see them online at Nordstrom. They are not the same, more cheaply made and I’m grateful for Nordstrom’s free returns. They went back.
