Great for My Elderly Mom

My mom is 86 and has Alzheimer's so she can be very resistant to change. She was wearing some Munro's previously, but they seemed too narrow for her feet. While shopping at Nordstrom one day for myself, I was so surprised to see this shoe. My mom had this style (in red) many years ago and she used to love to wear them. I figured since her recollection from farther back in her past is better than her short term, she might be willing to wear them. Well she seemed to be very compliant the day I brought them to her. I made a big deal about how she used to have shoes just like them many years ago. She slipped them right on and has been wearing them ever since. They are much more comfortable than her last pair, even though she initially complained of tightness by the end of the day. They are stretching a bit now and have become quite comfortable. She was having trouble walking and uses a cane, but now she seems to be walking a bit better and faster with these shoes on. Thanks for bringing them back! It was perfect timing for where my mom is in her disease.

Irritating Zipper

They would have been great except the stiff end of the zipper, underneath the leather near the toes, dug into the top of my foot with every step. They have to go back.

So comfortable

I love these Munro shoes. I used to buy Munro in size 7 medium, and still wear many of them, however their sizing seems to have changed as I have not been able to find a fit in the last couple of years. These shoes are a 7 1/2 narrow and are a little tight now but still feel so great that I had them on for hours. I would not call them a "sneaker" because they are smooth and sleek and dressy enough for all but a "dressy" occasion. The zipper can be worn zipped closed or open. The arch support is excellent and it shows such quality inside and out. Not an inexpensive shoe but I know the fit, comfort, and styling will last me many years.

Elegant and Comfortable Shoe - a Winner!

I wear a size 11 1/2 M shoe which is no picnic when it comes to finding footwear that fits. And so I was amazed that the Munro Berkeley fits beautifully and is totally comfortable. This shoe is made for a foot that is slightly on the narrow side with a long toes and a narrow heel. I was able to slide my foot right into the shoe in spite of the fact that the working zipper doesn't open up the shoe but merely adds a bit of stylish decoration. I ordered the black option and the leather is buttery soft yet the shoe has excellent integrity and support. I could not be happier. Thank you, Munro and thank you, Nordstrom for carrying this wonderful shoe.

Red Munros

I have these shoes in black, and they are so comfortable I decided to get the red ones as well. These are the first shoes I've ever bought in a wide width, but they do fit me better. I wish the salespeople had suggested I get a wide in Munros years ago because I've had a hard time with the Medium width and didn't know they came in a wide until my sister told me.

Comfortable and classy

I'm surprised to see this shoe listed as a sneaker. To me it feels very classy and elegant -- definitely not an athletic shoe. That said, it is as comfortable as any of my Munro shoes, and can be worn all day with no problem. I've already gotten compliments -- people really seem to like the zipper.
