MT10 Trail Running Shoe (Women)

This is my first purchase of the MT10 minimus. I was in the army and I saw a lot of my fellow mates wearing the older version of these. Now I know why! After trying them on at home (online purchase), I knew straight away why these are so popular. I am normally a women’s size 7US in every brand. I went up half a size after reading reviews and they were correct. Go up half a size for that toe area. I have very wide toes - the angled toe shape of the shoe snugs my small toes and plenty of room for my big toe. No rub areas at all straight up from trying them on. Heal area is super soft and snug fit. So far I can tell these won’t rub my heel area. They have some good flex in the sewn areas around the top of the shoe so your ankles and feet can move freely. There’s a slight arch support which stems from the exterior of the shoe. The moulded rubber base arches up helping slightly for arch support, however this is not very prominent. I have very good strong high arches so I don’t require arch support anyway. The band detail across the top of the shoe feels just right. Not too tight, however I can sense these will give over time to mould to your foot. The silver colour is a nice medium grey tone and reflects a lot when the light hits them. They look matte finish in dull lighting. So far trialling these around the house to ensure they fit properly first, they feel very comfortable. You can definitely feel the floor! I’m choosing to wear socks because with have sweaty feet and feel more comfortable. I can still feel the hardness of the tiled floor, thus meaning these shoes are very minimalist. I wish they came in black though. I opted for these to trial them. If they come in black I’ll get them straight away! Black with red logo trim would be cool.

Compared to Vivo, they’re easily as good. I have 3 pairs of the original minimus in grey/yellow, blue and black. NB needs to get more colours available and market these better. They’re a great trainer!!! Only downside is my minimus all split at the little toe and open up in the toe box. I work in fitness and my colleague had the same issue. It’s not like they (and I’m talking about the original minimus) did it after 5 minutes but they all clearly had a weak spot. Other than that they’re still in one piece after 4-5 years! Love these trainers and glad they’re back!!
