MOTHER
Founded in 2010 by premium-denim industry pros Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, MOTHER specializes in collections that present a juxtaposition of hard and soft. The brand evokes teenage rebellion, unconditional love and hilarious insult all at the same time (the company's name is a play on the duality of the word "mother," which can be nurturing or a cuss).

comfortable
They do have stretch & they do stretch some with wear. I think they’re true to size according to size chart at Mother, but generally it depends on the style, I have 31’s & 32’s in Mother Superior Denim & in this pair I went with the 32. I could get the 31 on but they were too tight to be comfortable & they look better & are comfortable in the 32. They’ve relaxed a bit more with wear, but not in a bad saggy bottom way. I wear with a belt & they’re just a classic relaxed fit style. It’s a soft thicker denim that’s perfect for the cooler weather. I think the too small tight fit they put on the models confuses some customers but that’s not a good fit or look for most of us.

hello muffintop
These did not fit like high rise… they fit low on the waist and also run small which was a recipe for muffintop: considered trying a size up but for the price I really needed them to be perfect and I’d worry that once the larger size breaks in they might be saggy in the bottom. Returning.

Perfect non-stretchy, structured old school jeans
If you like old school non-stretchy, structured denim like we used to wear back in day before everything started being made with elastic in them, these are the jeans for you. Nice length. Flattering fit. Great color. I would say they run on the smaller side but like structured jeans do, they will stretch a little once you are wearing them. Then just throw them in the wash and dryer to tighten them back up.

Wish they fit!
They have no stretch at all, you can tell they are a very cute cut but they run so so small

Tight fit
I ordered my usual size 29 and I could barely get them buttoned on my waist. Definitely size up 1 to 2 sizes. No stretch.

cool pants, run small.
I usually wear 28-30 in Mother jeans. (I’m 5’1” and 138 pounds.) I ordered these in 29 and 30. The smaller size completely didn’t work; the 30 is possible, but I’d love to try on a 31, which isn’t available.
They affirmatively do have some stretch. And I think others have said they stretch out over time. The cut is a lovely slim straight, and they are high waisted on me if I make an effort. I’d probably like them better a little looser, but I do think I can wear them. (Though I’ll watch to see if a larger size becomes available.)
They are long on me and I would have to shorten them. I don’t think this is a problem despite the pattern.
I don’t think the pattern is too busy, but I’d wear this with simple tops and outer layers. But it’s definitely a style that won’t always be in style.
I haven’t decided yet whether to keep them. It will depend on whether they do loosen up with a bit of wear and whether I think the pattern will strike me as annoying later on.
