My very first pair of Mother jeans!

I'm the type who'll buy an expensive pair for keeps. I bought my first Diesel from Nordies in 1995 and I still have them to this day (still fits too!). Back then Nordies have free hemming/tailoring. Not sure now. But I am so pleased with these Mother jeans as I don't need any hemming. I wear it as is after purchase! Do you know how rare and special that is for being short? I got a 28 but I can fit into a 27. So these 28 are just fine especially after having 2 C-sections. The 27 fits but would somehow make my C-section bulge a bit more noticeable. Thank goodness for high-waist jeans I feel more secure now. Anyway I ended up buying 5 more pairs of different color/wash Mother jeans as I got obsessed with the no hemming idea as ankle and cropped style fits me well at being only 5'1. I can't wait to try the new Lil' Mother petite styles this Spring. Those would be perfect for me. Yay. I've a new favorite jeans brand obsession!

defective wash

These fit TTS. I washed once and the dye came out in various places on the jeans, not just faded but very obvious splotches as though someone touched these when dying them so the dye never took. Very disappointing when paying over $250 for a pair of jeans that now look like I sat in something or have dirt on the back of my leg.

Makes me feel confident

Love these jeans. Honestly, Mother jeans, even the Hustler, can be all over the board from wash to wash. I own at least 5 pairs of mother hustlers. Compared with some, this heirloom wash runs larger than others and also longer for an ankle length. I am smaller in the waist and thicker in the hips and thighs and this pair is super comfortable and flattering.

Great for work or play

These jeans are my second Mother purchase and I really like them. They are not as distressed looking as in the photo and (for me at least) they are work-appropriate on casual days. The cropped flare is a nice transition away from skinny jeans but much more elevated than slouchy low-rise jeans. The best thing about them is that they are so stretchy and comfortable--even while sitting. The waist could be a touch smaller, but a belt handles that. Two things to remember about jeans this stretchy: 1, size up or risk sausage casing look; 2, the waist will need to be pulled up occasionally throughout the day, but not nearly as much as in the days of the first iteration of stretchy jeans. I'm 5'7" 137-140 and feel great in a size 28. I give them 9/10!

A lot of stretch

I like the wash, the rise height, and the length as I am 5 ‘3 and weight 129 lbs .What I don’t like is that they stretch out a lot! I normally wear between 27 and a 28 but with mother jeans the sizing is all over the place… So the first order to 29 they fit well and within an hour they were huge! So then I ordered a 28, same thing they fit nice at first, and then they stretched out huge again… When I ordered a 27 they were quite snug when I first put them on but it’s been about an hour and a half they also got baggy and mostly in the butt area which is where I don’t want it. I would like to order a 26 but they’re all out currently. I do like the way they fit initially and I like the pocket placement in the back, which is very important, I would say he’s wrong at least two sizes too big.

Ankle Jean even for a Petite

Since I am 5'4, I bought these thinking they'd fit me a little longer with a slightly kicky boot look. They really are short and barely hit at ankle. I love the wash, feel and general design of these jeans. The price was fine because they are of a quality material that is designed and made in Los Angeles. Yes! Would've really loved these as a mid-rise. Is it me or does high rise only work for someone who has never had a glass of wine or possibly a pinch of salt in their life? These are my first Mother jeans. I always gravitate toward them, but have always assumed that I'd have to go up 2-3 sizes in order for them to fit in the thighs. These days I'm a 27 or possibly a 26. I bought in size 28 but they really, really stretch. I should've purchased in my normal size.
