Monterey Stripe Handkerchief Dress

I bought this in a small and medium and kept the medium. For reference, I’m 5’10”, 140lbs and a 34C. The small was difficult to wriggle up over my hips and very tight around the rib cage. The stretchy bit on the side doesn’t provide as much give as you might think. Looks super cute with a little denim jacket.

Reading that the dress runs small, I ordered two sizes up for my height and bust. The size I received did have a longer torso than the dress I saw in the store, but the bust area looked actually smaller. There’s only enough allotment for an A cup, which is ridiculous. There’s less than two inches of space for the bust. The bodice of the dress is lined, but not the rest of the dress. And it’s only a cotton blend. And it’s see-through. And the ruffled edges look markedly different. I was shocked at how poorly this dress was designed and executed.

It fits like a medium. Im a 12 or 14 depending on brand. Gorgeous design and perfectly draped fabric. However, I was devastated with how poorly it fit.
