Classique 145 Meisterstück Fountain Pen

I bought this during the week it has heavily discounted (from $700 to $490). and unfortunately the pen didn't perform according to my expectations. I own other Montblanc fountain pens, so I have a pretty good idea about how they should perform. This was was not sliding smoothly over the paper, and the ink flow was not nice and continuous. My impression is that it was a previously used (and returned) pen, or just a defective one. I wanted to exchange it but I ended up returning it, since I was not given the option to exchange it. And because price is now back at $700, I couldn't just return it, get the refund, and buy a new one.
