Monochrome Soft Matte Lipstick - Brown Series $50 Value

All shades of the Prada lipsticks were sold out by the time I was eligible to shop the Anniversary sale. So when they restocked, I grabbed Tiepolo quickly. For the sale price, I think the lipstick is worth it. I did not see the shade in person so it was a bit of a gamble but when I received it, I knew it would work for my skin tone. It’s a little brighter than what I’m used to (I use mostly tinted balms) but I love this shade! It works well with my NC20 skin. The formula is indeed matte but it applies smoothly. The case is beautiful and simple and I love the weight of the case in my hands. I am excited to try other shades now.

I was hesitant to order this lipstick as it’s been hyped up but thought I’d buy it because of the anniversary sale price. I’m so glad I did! It’s a beautiful brown tone that isn’t drying on the lips. The color goes on nicely and the case is refillable. The lipstick does have a scent to it that’s a little strong for me when I first put it on but it does go away. In my opinion, the formula is worth overlooking the scent. I will buy a refill after I’m done with this one because it’s a definite keeper.

So all of this began with the last Nordstrom anniversary sale - I got the clutch with the lipstick & refills. Since then I absolutely LOVE all their lipsticks. I grabbed the 0000 Universal balm when it was on sale and I grabbed B109 Amaranto. These lipsticks are fabulous- the packing is better than Chanel lipsticks (The one I’ve been using is Rouge Coco Flash - 54 Boy) - the feel is luxurious & the formula in my opinion stays so much longer on. I am not a fan of obvious red fire engine lipstick for my everyday wear - Prada’s pigmentation lasts SOOOOOOO long! So this particular one is absolutely made to be a blanket for everyone - I think it’s kind of a “smurf” color meaning that this would be the best color to start out with. There is something about these lippies - literally I put them on at 6:45 AM and they last up until I leave work till around 6pm. I’m talking meetings, coffee drinking, lunch sammies, water bottle drinking - ect. They have a good lasting stain, IMHO. I think the sale price of 35$ is perfect too, though for me, at 50$, I’m ok with that price as well, but I’ll nab them at the Anniversary Price! I have procured several of the lipsticks & at this point lol I think I can buy the refills now and I will. Prada hit this outta the park - the feel is luxury, the pigment stay on with very minimal touch ups, & it’s worthy of treat status. Absolutely happy!
