I'm 5'6"-ish and about 135 lbs, and a size 4 in this dress fits me LIKE A GLOVE! I actually bought it in ivory to wear for my (very non-traditional) outdoor wedding, and I love everything about it! My friends all gave the approval on it too. This is just the perfect dress!

Tiny on top
After reading so many glowing reviews on this dress, I thought it was important to point out that the majority that rave about the fit describe themselves as "hourglass, curvy or pear."
As someone with a medium sized bust (34C) and especially narrow through the hips, this dress did not fit well. I ordered a size 4 and could barely squeeze my chest in the top of the dress. Meanwhile, the bottom was large and almost flared out in the hips. If you don't have hips, it does look A-line, as another reviewer pointed out. Given that ruching should be tight, it creates a very awkward silhouette that can only be fixed by some very serious altering.
On a separate note, I found the fabric to be very cheap and unappealing, but I suppose that is a matter of taste.

Nice dress, flattering
I'm 5'4", 36C, 160lbs, athletic build, and this dress fits wonderfully in size 10 and actually gives me relative up and down frame a shape (it's a bit loose in the hip area but not really noticeable. The dress length isn't a problem even though I'm short and it's a rather long dress; hits me just above the knees so no problems there. We got the burgundy for our bridesmaids dresses and the color in person is a lot darker than it appears online. It's still a lovely color, but when I tried on what the women told me was the burgundy color in the store I didn't buy it and bought it online instead because I didn't believe it the was the right color. The picture is a tad dark, but you can see what I mean about it being darker in person.
Overall great dress, constructed well, and I'm happy with the choice the bride maid and I know I will wear this dress in the future.

Beautiful dress
My daughter chose this dress for her bridesmaids. It fit all of them perfectly, no alterations needed and the purple color she choose was beautiful. High quality from a great brand. All for under $200 which made her feel good because she didn't want to put a financial burden on her bridesmaids. Her bridesmaids were a size 4 to 8 from flat to chesty and they all loved the fit.

Very flattering
I had tried this dress on in grey for a potential bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding. It fit really nicely and was long enough for me (I'm only 5'7" but I didn't want something too far above my knee for her wedding). However, we really wanted navy and this dress wasn't available at the time so I wore something else.
Fast forward 18 months and I'm looking for a simple ivory dress to wear for my own courthouse wedding this coming March. Of course this came to mind since I love the fit and so I ordered it and finally have the right dress.
One additional word about the fit, the majority of my height is in my torso so many dresses that have too fitted a waist are a problems because it hits at my ribcage instead of natural wait. this one has more of an empire but is still cut for your waist and hips. this suited be much better. if you have similar weird proportions, it will probably work for you!
Give it a shot, it's really a nice dress.

I love it!
I'm perplexed by the mixed reviews of this dress. I got the eggplant and it's gorgeous. The colorful is deep and beautiful, and the quality of the dress is impeccable. I actually love the fabric and this is the only bridesmaid dress that I'd wear again - it looks like a beautiful, well-made dress and you'd never guess it's a "bridesmaid" line.
As for fit, I'm a 34DD with a small waist and I've got a bit of a curve on my hips. I usually wear a size 8 in dresses, 6 in pants. I needed this dress in size 10 to fit my bust (and I find there's plenty of structure - it holds up fantastically, which as a DD is not something I say often). The waist fits perfectly as well. The dress is just a tiny bit too big at the hips but I expected that because I'm so top-heavy. Nobody would really even notice, I think.
Maybe this is one of those dresses that varies a lot depending on the color because they use different fabric? That's the only reasoning I can think of to explain the ups and downs of the reviews. In any case, the eggplant is fabulous.
