Quilted Down & Wool Short Cardigan

This jacket is very flattering! Other puffers I tried were so bulky, but this one is sleek and roomy enough to wear layers under. I ordered a medium. I am 5’ 3” and 135 lbs, carrying my weight around my butt and hips. I could zip the coat, while it also fit my upper torso, which is much smaller than my hips and butt.

I lovee this jacket. Took the plunge and treated myself to this jacket after seeing it in store and have no regrets. It's super cool and unique as it's part cardigan and part puffer. Runs a little smaller than usual since the sleeves are wool but I sized up and can still fit a thin sweater under it and not be too bulky looking. I know I'm going to have this for a while so I can't wait to wear it more.

I love this sweater-vest (it is not a cardigan!)It is the perfect length for my 5’2” frame compared to the longer cardigan vest which my husband got me as a Christmas present. The cardigan looked too overwhelming on me. This “Svest” is so cute and comfortable. The sleeve length is great since I don’t have to fold it; typically an issue for me. My shoulders are also broader for a person of my height, so I often have to get a medium which makes the body more roomy than I’d like. Since the sweater sleeves are stretchy, I was able to fit the Small. The sizing is different for different jackets so you really need to try this on to see how it fits. I want to wear it as often as I can, compared to my flammette and bomber jacket, which I wear every once in a while because they can get too hot and cumbersome to carry. The downside is that wearing anything like a thick sweater or sweatshirt makes it too tight, so i can only wear thinner clothing under it, making it less warm than a traditional down jacket. It is also not water repellent or resistant, so I’m more cautious about wearing it in the rain. The sweater portion on the arms tend to pick up lint so keep a lint roller close by. My husband initially thought the long zipper pull needed to be cut off because he thought it was part of the tag, but I think this is a very cute, unique characteristic. The logo patch on the left arm states that it is recognizably a Moncler without being obnoxious.

I wear a small in the longer/similar version of this style jacket and ended up with a medium in this one. Put my measurements in Montcler website and it was spot on. Obviously great quality, the only thing I don’t love is that it kinda puffs out in midsection. (Did try on smaller size but that didn’t solve issue.) I’m only 5’1” so the length is fine but I’m thinking it may feel short for someone taller. Also, it isn’t all that warm, more of a jacket for errands but wouldn’t want to be out in cold for too long. Overall I like it and the quality it exudes without screaming a brand.

The salesperson who helped me was wonderful. The jacket is beautiful, light weight, warm. The cut is very stylish (looks much better than the online pictures). The only downside is that the sleeves has wool material, so if I want to wear a short sleeved dress under it, it will itch. But if that is not your plan or you are not sensitive to wool like I am, then this is the perfect jacket for you.
