I love the look of this this, I bought one for myself and one as a gift. However, it overwaters and turns the soil/roots to mush. Don’t use on a plant you love!

These self-watering planters from MOMA work perfectly as intended, but the Nordstrom sales/marketing did a disservice to your supplier and customers in the product description — MOMA's website specifically says, "Suitable for most houseplants but not recommended for succulents or orchids." "Soggy succulents WILL NOT be a thing of the past—use any different type of houseplant and they'll work as intended!

This is a great gift for the plant enthusiast or someone who says that the kill everything. You just fill the glass well in the bottom, insert the terra cotta pot, and it does all the work. Gave it as a gift last year and they loved it and has had many guests ask about it. It is a little on the small side, so definitely not suitable for fast growing or large plants. Would absolutely purchase again.

It is super useful for well-draining potting mix for anthurium. Two of my anthurium plant use this pot and the root grow very fast. It might not work well for general potting mix (reserve water)

This literally broke in my hands as I was unpackaging it. It could have seriously cut me. Nordstrom took it back and refunded my money.

This came completely shattered. I was excited to use it but knew as soon as I retrieved the box from where it was delivered that it was in several pieces. As a shipped item, it needs to be protected better, or only made available in stores.
