Great bag, a few quibbles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is great overall, but there are a couple of things that could be improved. It is very high quality, like all the Baggallini bags I’ve bought.
Pros: good size, big but not too big. Good pockets, especially the outer ones for water bottles. Good handle drop length.
Cons: the pass-through for a carry on handle is open at the bottom. I’ve gotten other bags from this company that have a zipper at the bottom so you can use it as a regular pocket, and I wish this one had a zipper too. The laptop pocket has a strap and Velcro, but without a laptop, it gapes open, which makes it hard to find things in the main compartment. But these are minor points. I definitely recommend this bag.

The perfect travel tote
This tote has absolutely everything I need! I've had it for about four months and it has been perfect so far. I'm honestly confused by the previous review saying that this bag couldn't fit more than a laptop and charger. My 15 inch laptop and charger fit with room to spare. I usually also throw in a jacket, headphones, various charging cables, and a pack of sanitizing wipes when I travel. There is plenty of room. Inside there is an RFID pocket that I use for my wallet and another open pocket that I use for glasses. There's a hidden cell phone pocket along the top edge of the bag that's useful for a phone/passport. The side pockets easily hold my 32 oz water bottle (or one of the large smart waters from the airport). The shoulder straps are long enough to sling over my arm, plus the added crossbody strap is nice when I need to have more freedom of movement. I've looked for the perfect travel tote forever, and finally found it with the Modern Avenue Tote!

First Baggallini Bag I don't like
I've been using Baggallini bags since the 1990's have recommended them ever since. Love them. Not this bag though, that is atypical for Baggallini. 1. My lap top just fits the sleeve and when inserted there's very little room left in the bag because the bottom is too narrow. Once I add my power cord, mouse, iPad there's little room for much else. 2. I do fly almost every week so I appreciate the outside slot to secure the bag to my luggage handle, but most of my time is spent without luggage, so that flap is worthless. Why doesn't it have a zipper on the bottom so it can be used as a pocket, like some of your older model purses. 3.That pocket is needed because there is only one pocket on the outside. Need more pockets! 4. The two bottle pockets on the ends are not great because they can only fit narrow bottles if my laptop is inside, which is always. 5.The bag sides flare outward so it makes the bag unattractively wide without giving you more room to put what you normally carry in laptop bags - if the shape was more square that effect would be less and the bag would have more room inside. 6. All the straps are made of seat belt webbing - cheap looking and too flexible and flimsy in appearance. The strap color doesn't match the bag color well -a cheap looking mix. 7. I also don't like the bag material color, looks a little grungy, especially around the bottom where the pockets meet the bag. 8. The is only only one zippered pocket inside and two smaller open pockets on top of that pocket - one is good for a phone but what to do with the other one - it can hold eyeglasses but not much else? It's too narrow to be useful and allows items to fall out. and if you fill those pockets, there goes the room inside. 9. Those two pockets should have been located on either side of the one inside, zippered pocket. I actually want to return it but haven't had enough time to get that process done. I love all my other Baggallini bags. Just not this one. needs more pockets and more effectively placed and designed pockets, better straps, a more efficient and attractive shape, and a wider bottom. Definitely not worth the cost.

Perfect for travel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my husband who wanted a bag to carry onto planes that was big enough to stuff in a jacket on top of his travel necessities. We are actually going to have the handles shortened as somehow only women wear shoulder totes. :-) it is a great weight for its size, and has a number of pockets and can be out onto a rolling luggage bag. When mynold plan bag gives iut, I will want one of these.

Light and capacious
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace one I've been using for years. This one is a bit larger, is a perfect neutral color, light enough to carry all day and large enough to carry a laptop or jacket.
