ML Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids Strapless Chiffon Gown (Nordstrom Exclusive)

I ordered this gown two months ago and just received it. The material is VERY elegant. It fits perfectly. I'm a size 6 and 5'7 tall and always have trouble with the length... This gown actually needs slight trimming (and i'm wearing heels 3 inch heels!). However, i'm a cup B and it fits perfect so if you're busty i think you should go one size up. I wish this brand had a wider collection.

This gown was beautiful however, as a woman with an hour glass figure, I felt the dress boxed me out rather than flattering my curves.

I just received this gown in navy size 8. I bought the dress to wear for a Gala and I think it will be perfect. The dress looks just as in the photo online and is very nice both in material and cut. I really like the cut/frayed effect on the bodice as I think it makes it look quite modern. Some specifics-- Color: some of the reviews commented about the colors being off (or different in the cases of a couple bridesmaids receiving the dresses), but the navy gown I received looks just as it does on the photo. It is a very dark navy (really almost appears black, and, to be honest I wouldn't have minded it being slightly lighter, but it's fine as is too). Size: I don't think the dress really runs small, well maybe a little bit on top. The size 8 is, I think, a true 8, BUT I am only a B cup. If you were a C cup or larger, the dress may fit you elsewhere, but be too snug on top. Also, many reviews speak of built in bra and/or support.....there is nothing like this in the dress I received! This is fine because I prefer to wear a strapless bra, but I couldn't wear this braless even if I wanted too (and as I said I'm only a B). Finally, length: I am 5'9" tall, but reading some of the reviews I thought I may even have to have the dress shortened a bit. Not so. With 3 inch heels the length is prefect and, indeed, if it was any shorter I would be disappointed (and I would have to wear shorter heels). All in all quite pleased with the dress and my husband likes it too, so that's a bonus! I hope this review helps someone's decision making process :)

This is honestly the 1st bridesmaid's dress I've owned that I'd actually wear again! It's absolutely beautiful and not the 'typical bridesmaids dress' at all. It is cut for the small busted woman; however, which I am not, but luckily the reviews said that so I bought a larger size than I normally would have, which worked out well. Something else I love about the dress is even though I'm a rather large busted girl, the dress fits and is cut so well that I won't even need to wear a bra, and no one will ever know. I will definitely need to have it hemmed as it is WAY too long. Literally, about 10" too long. Other than that, it's a fantastic dress. I did not see petite sizes available when I ordered it or I would have ordered one even though I'm 5" 5".

I was pleased with the fabric and tailoring of this gown for the price. The frayed ends on the bodice and deep navy color make this dress seem much more expensive than it is. I wish I had been able to get a petite but the tailoring was easy. The fit was true to size and the fabric didn't wrinkle even after being packed in a suitcase for hours.

This dress is better than I expected. It's the first time that I've been able to find a dress long enough to fit my tall frame (6'0"). If you are not as tall, don't worry. The dress will be very easy to hem. In addition, the dress makes me look thinner. The color is a very dark purple. I honestly believe that any woman would look great in this dress.
