Fall jacket
This is a wonderful mid-weight jacket for fall. I cannot wait to wear it. I bought black and it is perfect. I am 5'2 about 125lbs, I usually wear a small or medium in shirts. I bought this in an 8, and it fits perfect! You defiantly need to size up, if you plan on wearing this with a sweater. I was debating on the 6 or 8, and I'm happy with my choice.

Cut changed over the years
First of all - I love the black and rose colors that were in the anniversary sale, and the purple-y version from 2019. I was beyond excited to see beige/oatmeal in 2020, and immediately ordered in my size. Thought it was odd that the same size that I have three prior versions in fit differently - tight in the arms and wouldn't close, but assumed it was me and that my other jackets had stretched with (admittedly minimal) wear. So I went up a size - the arms were still excruciatingly tight, but I could close it at least. In comparing to last years jacket, which I haven't work yet (still has tags on), while this is the same listing and same jacket name, the cut from the manufacturer is definitely different.

Super bummed
I ordered this jacket on the 2nd day of pre-sale and by that point there was only a size 8 (my normal size) available, so I ordered it. It was way too small and I would need at least a size larger but, of course, this jacket has been sold out since before it went on sale to non-Nordstrom card holders. I've felt really frustrated for several years with the way Nordstrom handles their anniversary sales and how nearly everything is sold out before pre-sale is even over and if the sizing is off, you're out of luck. I feel discouraged from even shopping the sale anymore.

love!
I absolutely love that you can adjust the waist. It is a little tight around the shoulders when you raise your arms, but I have yet to find a jacket that isn’t like that. Overall it’s a great jacket. I’m wearing a size 4.

My favorite jacket!
I love this jacket. It is the perfect weight, not too bulky and a great quality coat. I have the garnet color which is lovely for fall. The plaid lining in soft, not scratchy. The detachable hood is a bonus. It's my first Barbour, and I really like this brand. I tried on several other styles, and the only warning I can give is that each style seems to have its own sizing, as I fit 10-14 in different styles. I would say I am generally a 12. I kept at 14 in this one, as it allowed for layers and there is a drawstring at the waist that can help with sizing it in a little.

Sure to be my go to jacket this autumn
I ordered the wrong size at last year's Anniversary Sale and ended up with nothing when they sold out. This time I ordered 3 sizes to make sure I got it right. I'm normally a 4 to 6 in a jacket depending on the amount of vanity sizing. I ordered the 6, 8, and 10. The 10 was much too big. The 6 fit nicely with a tshirt underneath but was tight with a sweater, plus I have long arms and it was just a bit shorter than I liked. The 8 was maybe a bit looser than I like, but the draw cord at the waist let me cinch it up to the perfect fit. I did not care for the rose color at all with my olive coloring. I went with the black, which I love!

Love it!
I purchased this in an 8 and 10. Both fit the same in the shoulders/arms so I opted for the 8 because it looked a little more sleek. Love the tan color and the plaid lining. It should keep me warm in Montana. I’m 5’9 and it was a decent length on me. Overall I really like it.
