18mm Patent Leather Watch Strap

I love the look of patent leather. My very first Michele bands were black patent and purple patent. Within a year, the bands started to crack and it looked especially bad with the lighter color purple. I took it back and the Michele rep said "well, Michele bands aren't made to last longer than a season." Really, Michele? for the price of your watches and the bands, they should wear much longer. They were also very stiff and not bendable as the other material Michele watches. So, I'm never buying patent leather from Michele again.

Having to replace my white patent leather Michele watch band twice in two years makes me question Michele's choice of leather. Second replacement only lasted 5 months. I saved my watch for wearing when I wasn't doing harsh cleaning or gardening tasks - and the leather still rotted away around the spring bar and the spring bar itself broke. (I usually wear an old durable Citizens watch for foreseeable dirty and rough tasks.) I love the look of the Michele white patent leather, but I will in the future take closer heed to the instructions that came with this third band -"should not be wet for any reason. Water, sunlight, exposure to chemicals or perspiration will cause...damage to your strap." Well, unfortunately, due to my human living on this earth, these circumstances are impossible to avoid entirely. Maybe Michele should consult Ariat on their successful experience producing rot resistant leather products.

My Michele watch strap was fabulous, it complemented my outfit perfectly. Therefore, I would strongly recommend this brand to anyone. I'M LOVING my colorful watch strap!!!

The watch strap is very nice and fits perfwctly. The quality is great and I wear it everuday!

I have had my Michele watch for 3 years and did not change the strap until I bought the hot pink patent strap. I am IN LOVE! It is like having a completely different watch.

I bought this strap in bright blue and white patent leather. Very cute but I need to put it on the last hole because I have a small wrist. It looks like the patent leather may get ridges after a certain amount of wear because of that and because of the way it is made. The ridges will probably turn into rips after time so I can't wear the straps too often. Still cute though!
