What it is: A cleanser that lifts away dirt, oil and makeup while helping balance skin's microbiome with prebiotics.
What it does: The gentle, lightweight first-step cleanser is formulated with oat milk that melts into the skin, attracting and dissolving impurities with cleansing micellar murumuru butter, then rinsing away to prepare skin for the second step of cleansing.

The original is better
Sadly this new prebiotic cleanser from Dermalogica does not deliver compared to the original precleanse cleanser. If you want to buy a pricey cleanser then get that one instead. This might be okay if you’re just washing your face after a day of light skincare rather than a full face of makeup and sunscreen etc etc

Cleanser
The prebiotic cleanser from Dermalogica is meant to be a first cleanser but I do not find this removes all my makeup, not even mascara (I don’t wear waterproof mascara). The original precleanse oil is far better so if you are spending this sort of money then go with that one. I prefer much less pricey first step cleansers and for the price of this one I thought it might be better but it’s just not. It also stings my eyes.

Just okay
I know this is technically meant to be used as a first cleanse but it's really just okay. And given the price, I was looking to be impressed with the results.
Other cleansers, even first step cleansers, seem to work better for me and are much more affordable. So, I personally wouldn't repurchase.
I do like the pump applicator though.

Not a patch on the original
I really wanted to love this but it just doesn't do a very good job at removing my makeup and I only wear tinted moisturiser and mascara! It's thick and creamy and doesn't glide over skin like the original does. I much prefer the consistency of the original as well as finding it way more effective as a pre cleanse. My skin has also felt dry in the 2 weeks I have been using this.

Great first cleanser
Does the job. A great first cleanser, it’s nice feeling formula and scent to your skin and does a great job removing any debris from your skin in the morning. I think my pump has a flaw as whenever I use it product comes out of the base of the pump as well as the spout.

really nice cleanser
I absolutelu love dermalogica products and this prebiotic precleanse is no exception, it removes makeup and pollution just as good as the orignal precleanse with the added benefit of prebiotic plus a little goes a long way, another great dermaolica product, I would highly recommend
