Exactly what I was hoping for!
Came to MeUndies in search of comfortable short/boxer type undies. These are way comfier than expected. I've slept in them as pajama shorts and worn them under several types of pants without them riding up too badly, and they don't have uncomfortable edges or seams like the others in my dresser.

weird crotch
Tons of extra seams and fabric in the crotch. Pretty much un-wearable despite the nice fabric because of the blizzard bunching and seems and extra crotch fabric getting all bundled up in there. Hard pass. Straight to the trash.

Terrible Gusset
I was so disappointed when these came in considering I love my other boy shorts but man what is up with the weird kite shaped gusset that’s not even laid down?!?!? I will never wear the ones I bought again. The gusset kept rolling up and irritating all the bits. Makes me nervous to order anything else I hope this doesn’t become a new thing.

soft and comfortable
These are a good alternative for boxer style shorts that have elastic bands which can sometimes be uncomfortable.

huge downgrade from the classic boyshort :(
i got the email that they're discontinuing the core boyshort in favor of this one so i figured i'd give it a try, but i'm so disappointed! i will never buy another pair unless they fix the design.
there is one main issue: the gusset. the previous core boyshort wasn't perfect - it should have had additional cotton layer, but at least the seams were unobtrusive. the feelfree boyshort changes up the gusset and makes it much much worse. in this version, there is a 4-way seam exactly where it is most uncomfortable to have one, barely covered by a small second layer that is only connected on four points. this means you basically have a double thickness seam and an additional loose flappy diamond of material getting all up in your business the entire time you're wearing the underwear. the original style is the only underwear i own; meanwhile this iteration is unwearable to me. it is SO distracting and annoying.
also, if you're coming from the old one, i found that my one feelfree pair was significantly higher waisted, which is not my preference, but that's subjective. the waistband is slightly more comfortable i guess? but that wasn't a problem before. the gusset thing is just terrible though, i honestly don't understand how an underwear company messed up the most important part of a pair of women's underwear so badly. did yall just put this on a mannequin with no flaps?

Awkward seams
So I'd read this criticism but thought I'd see for myself. Yep, the center seams rides up just where you'd think and it's not nice. The crotch padding is attached at 4 points like a hammock and bunches up. The legs are too long, if you have any kind of thighs they ride up. I do like the waist band, it's not tight, and the material and jellyfish pattern are great.
