Great car seat
I didn't know what to look for in a car seat when I was pregnant. So I bought a Baby Trend car seat since the price wasn't too bad. After a few times of using it, I hated it. It irritated me so much that I had to rethread it so often. Now that I know what I want in a car seat. The Mesa car seat is exactly I was looking for. I love everything about it, especially the no rethread function. Everything is so easy to adjust. Very good quality materials. It would be even more awesome if the shoulder straps were longer!

Why is Nordstrom selling a 2017 car seat?
I thought the date was an error seeing as car seats expire after 5/6 years. I messaged customer service asking if this was accurate and before hanging up, they told me that it was and I could return.

Don't get it
I seriously don't know why people even like this car seat. My newborn that is 9 lbs already looked so uncomfortable and slouched down even after using the additional insert for smaller babies. I found it to be more narrow and deeper than most car seats. Also the strap kept getting stuck and I couldn't make it longer and I was super frustrated that I ended up returning it. I bought it because I purchased the uppa baby vista and this automatically attached with no extra adaptors or anything but I despised it. My baby would cry every time I would put her here and her chin would touch her chest and she couldn't breath right because she would make these weird breathing noises. I ended up getting the cybex cloud q which is the only car seat that reclines and omg she loves it. It's much heavier than this one which is the only bad thing but it's one of the safest out there and just plain out fabulous! I love the uppa baby vista stroller but the mesa car seat was a headache for me.

Wish we went with something else
As the mother of a 5-week old infant, I really wanted to like this carseat, but am sadly disappointed. I love our UppaBaby stroller and how the MESA easily clips into it. I don't like how heavy this carseat is - heavier than others on the market - and I find the straps are very difficult to tighten and loosen. Our daughter screams every time she sits in this carseat, which makes life with a newborn even more difficult than it needs to be. This is a small detail, but the fabric from the shade covering is already coming loose, so you can see the white plastic sticking out. Not the quality we expected for the price we paid. Sorry UppaBaby, but I have buyers remorse and wish we registered for the Nuna instead.

Great car seat

Comfortable, Sleek and well made!
I was able to play with this Car Seat in the store. I've been searching for something that offered additional head support, was comfortable, but wasn't going to overheat my baby. Granted, I haven't been able to use it yet but based off of my time I spent carrying it and playing with it- it's safe, sleek, has additional padding, and the plastic is thick. I really like that the sun cover is a nice durable fabric, too. I'd say the only downside is that this Car Seat is a bit heavier, but safety and comfort for my baby is the #1 thing. I can deal with "heavy". I've also purchased the UPPAbaby Stroller and I have the option to click the Car Seat into that. Problem solved! : )

Love this car seat
We love this car seat. No matter how upset she is baby girl falls asleep as soon as we put her in it. We especially love how easy it is to snap it into our Cruz stroller. Also to the genius saying that the 2017 shouldn’t be sold due to it’s age- the law is based on USED car seats because the plastic degrades over time from being exposed to heat and cold in the car.
