I sized up a 1/2 because I knew I’d wear thicker socks for hiking. I meant to break them in before a CO hiking trip but ran out of time and had no issues at all hiking! So happy with this purchase.

The Zion FST did not work for me
This hiking shoe is light and flexable, but pinched me on my ankles as I flexed forward. I have hiked in it twice once for 3 hours and yesterday for 4 hours. It is not torsionally stable enough for rocky terrain. seems like it is more suited for shorter easier hikes. I would not purchase the Zion FST again, nor could I recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful, quality, ran narrow
Returning my size 6M in olive berry because this runs narrow if you wear thicker than thin socks, especially in the metatarsal region near the base of the toes. As far as length, if you're between sizes, I would size up. I own about a dozen versions of heavenly-comfy ortho-correct Merrell Encore Ice and Breeze clogs in 6M, and my feet are slightly wide in the the forefoot. Beautiful aesthetic and Merrell construction. Comfort and insole contours were very good for average foot. (I may have to go for an ugly 4-letter H-name hiking shoe with fat marshmallow soles for my fasciitis-prone older feet.

Comfort right out of the box!
I normally take a 6 or 6.5 and easily fit into the 6 for this style. I do not wear heavy socks. Easy to use orthotics with the unattached inner sole. Mine are thin so just placed them underneath! Good sized toe box for my wide toe area! Lots of comfort- no rubbing that I can feel yet. I love the olive color and the price was right!! I took a 6 in the Nike Pegasus 37, whereas I need a 6.5 in other athletic shoes…like I said, the 6 was just right for me in this shoe but with a thick sock, would definitely need a 6.5.

Excellent comfort and features
I've had these a little over 2 months now and love them. Had a couple pressure points the first couple wears but since then they've been perfect. Comfortable fit and great for wet conditions. I love that these aren't super clunky looking too - they offer a lot of function while still being stylish. The sole is good and grippy and the added support around the ankle is comfortable. Looking forward to more adventures with these!

Vegan and Waterproof Boots
I wore these on a 5 mile hike on their first day out. I had to get used to the initial bulk, but I found them to be sturdy, gripped well, and while they were stiffer than my sneakers, comfortable enough to keep on for 5 hours. They are one of only two styles that are VEGAN and they are waterproof so yay.
