No comfort
I purchased these shoes a few years ago and they are still brand new in the box. No support, no superior comfort that was advertised! I waited too long and could not return them.

Try ordering 1/2 size up
After 12 years, I was ready to replace my Merrell hiking shoes. I typically only wear them for a few weeks a year while doing miles of walking while we're on vacation, so they lasted a really long time. I ordered my normal size, a 6.5. I wear that size in EVERY shoe, including my original Merrells. This time, when I tried them on, I loved the arch support and way they contoured to my feet, but they were SO so so small. They looked small while I walked and they were just not going to work. I ordered 1/2 size up and voila. Plenty of room in the toe, better in the arch, and great all around. If you like the shoe and the price, at least try one 1/2 size up before you give up.

Not for all hikers
These shoes could be great for someone but not for me. The uppers are very stiff, so not very flexible, and I definitely would not want to be hiking a rocky trail in them. Will be returning these.

I have another pair of Merells that I love and assumed they were all the same. I love the aqua and yellow colors of these shoes. Unfortunately, although they were comfortable once they are on, getting the shoes on was problematic. The top and back were stiff. Sadly, had to return.

Best for Moab hiking if your feet don't like you.
This is my third pair of this style, I have plantar fasciitis because of genetics (flat feet) & walking for a living. These are the only shoes that alleviate the discomfort. Would recommend 10 out of 10.
