Not for rain/ walking long distances or cycling
I had to return it. It keeps your feet warm, however, it absorbs rain and made my feet wet. I walk and cycle mainly, so for those activities under rain it won’t be helpful.

Where's the Arctic Grip?
No regrets on this purchase. Yes, they are a tad tricky to get on, but once you figure where/how to hold the boot in order for the foot to slide in, it's all good. These have been great for hiking the forest trails, as long as there isn't a lot of ice. Which brings to my only criticism, and much needed request--that MERRELL make the same boot with the Arctic Grip sole. Annnd, make them for women NOT just for men. We girls hike on icey surfaces too and deserve to be just as safe as they guys.

Could have done better
Looks better on pictures. The laces keep coming undone for some reason. Also, it is awkward tying the laces as the tongue doesnt even become tighter. Has good grip on slippery surfaces. Wore it on a heavy rain day and still got some rain drops from walking. Rain can seep in from the ankle area as laces doesnt tighten the foot opening
