Crappy quality
The durability of Merrell shoes is decreasing. The Gore-tex lost its effectiveness within a month and the sole started detached after minor regular usage. This is the 2nd pair of Merrells that I've had the sole fall off of. What is happening to you guys?

Increase Strength of Shoe Material
I walk nature center dirt trails with my dog. I have purchased twice the MOAB Speed GORE-TEX shows due their excellent traction and reduced material weight However, the material on the sides of the shoes easily ribbed in the first week of use against rocks and dead branches that are inherit to find along dirt trails. I do not like wet socks so I now purchase and love Merrell Cold pack 3 thermo slip ons (mocs).

Great support and comfort
I’d wanted to getwaterproof hiking shoes for a while. It took me a while to find a pair that fit and were comfortable. These are perfect for me. They look great, too. I wore them recently on a vacation. I did some very hilly trails with plenty of rocks and tree roots. These hiking shoes were perfect.

Too narrow for me
I've had the Moab Speed Gore-Tex shoes for over 1 year now, but rarely wear them because of the narrow fit. The shoes look great, but I am used to brands with a wider toe box and have not been able to adjust to the Moab Speed. I am about 5'8" and 160 lbs and typically do not use the Wide version of shoes. Very avid hiker, but have not been able to use these for hiking....
