Too spongy
I bought these for walking because most reviews said they were comfortable. Since receiving them I’ve used them about 3 times for probably 5 miles each time and my feet hurt afterwards for a day or two. I believe this is because are so spongy and offer no arch support. I’ve never had this problem with my other Merrill's I’ve used over the years for walking.

Bought these last year to wear in Alaska and Canada.
Wore them everyday. They were supportive straight from the box and gripped the terrain very well. Went to Alaska and Canada again this year and wore them everyday outdoors, again they didn't fail me. I would 100% recommend them.

Love these shoes
Great shoes. They are tough, lightweight and well constructed. I thought I bought a waterproof pair, but found out they’re not.
These are also among he most comfortable running shoes I’ve worn in a long time. The heel strike is soft and rolls forward nicely. The Vibram soles areadhere well to surfaces without being sticky.
Merrell hit a home run with these IMO. I’ll be buying these again.
