My Second Excellent Walk-About the City Sneaker!
I recently received these in the dark green-like color and the fit is fantastic! I have another Rebecca style I purchased in spring 2018 in a different finish, perforated and no metallic surfaces or finishes, and it's been a good looking and highly comfortable city walk-about shoe. And this latest pair has the metallic accents which I was unsure of, put the darker outer sole color (as opposed to the former pair with white outer sole) so a different visual appearance. And this latest Mephisto is just as wonderfully comfortable as the former and it looks really nice as well. My foot tends to be a bit skinny, but not a narrow, so the medium width lace-up options from Mephisto appear to be made for me.

These Mephisto sneakers look very sleek.
To be perfectly honest, I have worn Mephisto shoes for many many years and these sneakers missed the mark for comfort. The construction of the heal (which is plastic) is so stiff, it never conformed to my foot. I tried different thickness of socks to no avail. One suggestion is to order a half size up.

Tongue came apart
I got the grey version which I like. They fit my narrow foot very well when I lace them up and have a great foot bed. The trouble I had with them was with the protective tongue below the top lace where you tie the bow. The stitching on the vinyl flap unraveled and exposed the foam pad underneath it. I had to take them back and replace with a new pair which I hope does not do the same thing.

Amazing comfort and very stylish!
Perfect fit. I wear 8.5 and purchased 8.5. They are super lightweight and cradle your foot. I normally wear high heels to work and have a hard time finding shoes that are low and comfortable. There are perfect. I like them so much I wore them to work with a black suit.

Comfortable and stylish
I’ve been looking for black sneakers for a few years now but most had a white or black sole which I didn’t like. This sole is more off white which blends in. The silver colored accents add a stylish touch. They are very comfortable and I got my usual size. I’m very happy with this purchase
