Mellow Recovery Slide Sandal (Women)

I bought these with the intention of using them as indoor house sandals, and if I loved them enough..I would have bought an extra pair for outdoors. The bone color is a great neutral. These were almost perfect. If it weren't for the fact that they rubbed against the sides of my pinky toes, I would absolutely keep them. They rubbed my skin raw to the point of giving me blisters. They are not narrow and actually a little wide, so I'm not sure why they give me blisters. Based on the looks of the sandals, I did expect them to have a cushioned insole/midsole and be a bit bouncier (comparable to the cushioned Adidas Adilette comfort slides). I'm new to Crocs and the size guide is confusing because I'm used to the Nike and Adidas size guide that a women's 9=a men's 8. And these say women's 9=a men's 7. I need a women's size 10 in classic Crocs, a women's 11 in platform crocs. I did size down a whole size in these croc mellows to a women's 9/men's 7 from my normal woman's 10 based on most reviews on Croc's website. They fit (like my true size 10) and still have width for socks. I'm leaving towards returning and getting the Adilette comfort slides instead as I would only be able to wear the Crocs mellow slides with socks to prevent blistering.
