Is it so hard to make it adjustable in length?

This necklace is cute but it’s a bit smaller than I imagined. And the quality seems cheap especially on the chain. Still, I would have kept it. But I am sending it back because it hangs at an odd length and it is not adjustable. At this price point you’d think they would make it adjustable. Not worth the money at all. Very disappointed.
