Move Over Neverfull..... WAY over!!!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag. I have been debating purchasing a neverfull for a while, but after seeing the MCM on a trip to Manhattan I decided to go with that instead. I love that the market is not saturated with these like it is with the Neverfull. One of the things that kept me from purchasing that one was the fact that every other person is seen carrying it. I hate following the hoards. I like to stand out, and with this bag I can. Another reviewer stated "Based on the "coated canvas" description, I expected this to be more like a Louis Vuitton bag; it's not. This is a big floppy bag. It feels like plastic; the handles are plastic. The strips running down the front of the bag are plastic. This bag is cheap and looks it."
While everyone is entitled to their opinion, at least know the facts... The bag doesn't "look" like a Neverfull because it's NOT a Neverfull. Both are coated canvas, but go through different processes. The MCM bags are made to be soft and supple... not stiff like the LV. The "leather" strip going down the front, along with the handles and trim, look very much like real leather, because they are. If yours looks like plastic, perhaps you didn't buy from Nordstroms and you purchased a replica. The "streaks" on the cognac coated canvas are intentional and add to the appeal of the bag. I favor this bag over the Neverfull also because the pochette that is included with it is sizeable enough to be a stand-alone bag. In the Neverfull it's really just the size of a large wallet. This bag is perfect for any occasion... I cannot wait to use it as a carry-on on my next trip.
