Maui Jim now offers more than 100 styles of polarized sunglasses, all of which provide 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays.

These are a Great Buy!
Great fit and feel. So light and sporty. The polarization offers clear undistorted colors to come through without the glare. My only minor complaint is the pieces that sit on the nose to hold them on your face can stick to your face a little after long periods of wear in hot humid weather.

Husbands favorite glasses
My husband bought the exact pair in Maui 2 two yrs ago. This past winter break in Mexico they slipped off while he was under water and our daughter stepped on them. They bent and scratched. So I surprised him with a new pair. These are his absolute favorite pair of glasses.

Wearable
Very lightweight. Doesn't feel tight enough on head.

Lightweight, stylish, stays in place on your face
The lenses are, of course, the best on the market. This pair is lightweight, stylish and the adjustable nose piece is a must-have for a someone who sweats profusely, as it keeps them perfectly in place.

Kaupo Gap - surprised with amount of side coverage
The Kaupo Gap is a sporty and stylish aviator model. It is incredibly lightweight and flexible, and if you expect the classic metal frame glass-lens aviator, this is not the model for you. However, if you intend to wear it for hours and do sports, this might just be the model for you - it works well for everyday wear, too. The Kaupo Gap comes with a base curve 6 wrap, and if you are a full-wrap base curve 8 snob like me... you may have reservations. But... I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of wrap this model provides. In fact, if you are familiar with the Castles (which is a base curve 8 and provides noticeably more side coverage than other aviators), the Kaupo Gap has almost identical wrap due to the frame construction. If you compare it to a model such as the Ho'okipa (which is a PROPER base curve 8 wrap), you notice a difference in the side coverage the Kaupo Gap offers to the Ho'okipa. However, I was really impressed with the Kaupo Gap's side coverage, its feel and, of course, the lenses (but you already knew that!).
I have included pictures for comparison to the Castles (STG neutral grey) and Ho'okipa XL (Maui Pure Lava red) for size and wrap (for those interested). Kaupo Gap comes in the Maui Brilliant lens type. Weight comparison: Castles 36g, Ho'okipa XL 20g, Kaupo Gap 19g.
To note: I have a medium head size. Both the Castles and Kaupo Gap fit me well, and aesthetically, I like bigger sunglasses. While I like the look of the Ho'okipa XL on me, it is just a bit too big for me and feels slightly loose.
I truly hope this review helps someone make an informed decision (as far as online shopping goes!).
