Maternity On the Go-To Legging Made with Organic Cotton

I purchased 3 of the storm color, they were the only ones available. Each identical pair felt different in terms of fit and material thickness. There were variations in the cotton to spandex ratio of the material. One was loose fitting, and another one fit very rigid. The belly panel was very comfortable.

Are these suppose to be compression pants? I was so excited to get these, but was gutted by how small/ tight they are throughout the design. The legs calf muscle area is so tight, I can feel my feet getting colder when I tried them on. The tummy flap is entirely too tight and not high( long enough to rest over belly in a comfortable place, however there is a comfortable space in the lower belly/pelvic area where the cloth is not taunt around the baby, but then the fabric looks loose there, a bit awkward. I thought if I fold flap down on my hips maybe I ould make a go, but it was too tight on hips. I followed the size guidelines, and have a lean body, but these pants were just uncomfortable. Maybe a size or 2 up would be better?
