Pocket Mixture Nylon & Boar Bristle Brush for Short Coarse to Normal Hair

Bought this hair brush for my husband as a surprise gift, and he loves it. Said he uses it morning and night before bed. Feels like he's getting a head massage, he said. The best brush he's ever owned (and the most expensive). What I'd really like to share with everyone is Nordstrom's fantastic service. A couple of days after receiving this hair brush in the mail, I was at another department store that was offering a free tote bag with a high-end perfume samples when you spend over $85. Well, the Mason Pearson is over this amount and I was tempted to return it (unused at that time) and buy it at the other department store (they had the same brush) so I can get the goodies. (I wanted a treat too.) I thought about it and had an Aha moment. The next day, I brought my receipt and the sample offer to Nordstrom to see if they would do something for me, so that I didn't feel like I was missing out. The salesperson at the perfume counter couldn't have been more generous. She gathered up some of the same perfume samples that I would have gotten from the other department store and added a few more. I didn't get a tote bag, but I'm okay with that. I was elated. I love the perfume samples. And, I love Nordstrom!

I have fine, delicate, dry hair. This brush totally transforms my hair to a silky and shiny texture without pulling out much hair. The size is perfect, I use it as my daily brush and can easily throw it in my purse. I love it! It is Totally worth the high price. The downside is the pocket size doesn't come with the cleaning brush like the bigger sizes do. I've read a lot of reviews online about Mason Pearson and my purchase has lived up to the high expectations I had when deciding to purchase- this brush is AWESOME.

(I would give this five stars except for the price!) I am a Mason Pearson addict. I love their brushes because they are absolutely perfect for my long, fine to medium thick hair and my oh-so sensitive scalp. They feel so wonderful brushing your scalp and do a great job of distributing oil from top to bottom. There is literally no better brush in the world and they will last you forever if you take care of them (no throwing them across the room in a fit of pique). So if you amortize the price over ten years they are not expensive at all - the same as buying a new cheap brush every year - but I'll admit it's just hard to shell out anywhere from $88 to $140 for a hair brush (and they never go on sale). I buy them with my Nordstrom Notes or gift cards as a splurge and I couldn't be any happier. A luxury that's truly worth the money.

Purchased as a gift for a loved one. She's always wanted a Mason Pearson, this Mason Pearson, justifying the huge price tag, for a hair brush, as a lifetime investment. I expected a heavier brush of materials more obviously reflecting the price, like platinum and gold or the eternal souls of the boars that provided the bristles. But it is a travel brush and sensibly light and smallish. It does have the appearance of craftsmanship and beyond that, does a great job with her hair If it lasts a hundred years, and is used every day, it is a good financial bargain. But making her thrilled with a single small luxury is even a bigger bargain. She loves this brush.

She told me to stop using this brush. My hair is very fine. She bought me another Mason Pearson brush. It is for fine hair. It looks the same as this one. Except it is the one that is made for fine hair. So if you are looking to have nice hair Do yourself a favor you must have at lest one Mason Pearson brush Before you buy Look at the charts. They have some that is for thick corse hair. Others for fine hair. Others for thin hair. They make a big difference in your hair. Mine is now shinny and has grown long in a short time. It might cost you more then you want, but in the long run. You will have beautiful hair.
