Special Healing Powder

I have super oily skin that becomes an oil slick even with use of most powders. This stuff is pretty good though, it combats oil better than many other high end powders I've tried. Also, I'm African American with a caramel complexion and the powder blends into my skin without making it look ashy or chalky. It creates a very natural appearance when I wear it alone and works even better to fight oil if I go the extra mile and put on foundation. My only grievance is the packaging. This stuff flies everywhere when you open the container. Also, the packaging makes it so you waste a lot of powder. My recommendation is to sit it on a towel when opening so the excess left from the application process can be cleaned up easily. Also try using your finger to dab the powder onto your face, and after dabbing, blend in with a powder brush. Because if you dare dip a powder brush into the container, the powder will end up everywhere.

I had abdominal surgery recently and now sport an 8” incision. My doctor removed the Steri-Strip early so I started using this powder on my stitches. They healed in record time which allowed me to start using silicone tape (to minimize scarring) that much sooner. At about the same time, I had a nevus removed which somehow started bleeding after a week even though it had been cauterized. Nothing my derm gave me helped so I tried this powder. It worked immediately. Since then, I have used it on a cut and a scratch from my cat and they healed right away. Because it’s a powder, there’s no need to wait for it to dry.. I love this product!

I only gave it 4 stars but really its 4 1/2. The rating is due to the packaging. The holes are not sealed so when you get it the powder goes all over the place, and there is a lot of product waste. So be careful opening for the first time. and I recommend using a lil eyeshadow brush to apply because the puff it comes with will apply way more then you need.. But it performs like it says. It deff reduces oil dramatically. I have very bad skin oily break outs my whole life. and I wish i found this sooner. It reduces redness also like it says. I even have an allergy to nickel and my belts tend to make me itch and break out in a rash if they rub on my bare skin at all. Including rings on my fingers if they are cheap costume. This powder makes the redness go away almost over night..

I usually don't take the time to write a review about a product, but this is AMAZING! A cosmetics saleswomen recommended this product to me, and I am over the moon and back about it. I have a still healing unsightly cut on my forehead that I needed to cover for an interview. I put this stuff on it overnight, and magically it shrunk to about half its size, barely noticeable when I covered it with some concealer. Although it contains very few ingredients, do not let that fool you. This stuff is powerful and naturally derived which makes it even better for skin. As a graduating esthetician on my way to getting my license, I am thrilled when I find products that deluver results like this, and do not contain extra fragrances or synthetic materials. The sulfur in this product is really the magic ingredient, but as the reviewer said below comparable to RareMinerals, it doesn't have the yucky smell typically associated with sulfur. Plus it comes with a super cute puff, which even though it's a little messy kind of makes you feel like Marie Antionette putting on her white powder from a snuff box :) Try this! It's awesome!!!!!!!!

I unfortunately used a product from a dermatologist for my adult acne. However, not only did I break out, but ended up with with large patches of open skin. I tried other products with little to no results. I found this one on my favorite online shopping site -- Nordstrom!! It was a miracle in a little jar and there is alot of product for the price. After applying ONE time.... there was significant improvement. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLED SKIN BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Mario Badescu's Healing powder contains colloidal sulfur, which is a great blemish prevention ingredient for me. I would describe my skin as sensitive and have more rash or irritation problems than acne. But they can look just as bad and be difficult to treat I can wear this powder over a tinted primer or moisterizer and obtain a natural look, while protecting my skin from daily irritants. The powder has a yellow tint but blends out to natural on my skin. I would compare this to Rare Minerals powder blemish treatment. Both help to absorb oil, but are not drying. Although Rare Minerals is a natural colored powder, Mario's is less expensive and can work for people who don't like to wear layers and layers of cosmetics.
