Nordstrom Sheet Set Makes Us Feel Special

I had been admiring these colorful beauties for several months, but I couldn't afford them. I liked them because the sheets coordinated with our hot pink bedspread (I was going for a 70s motif in our bedroom.) Well, my best friend, who is a dyed in the wool Nordstrom's shopper, asked me what I wanted for Christmas. It didn't take me long to respond. "I'd like a Nordstrom's gift card so that I can purchase some fantastic hot pink and red sheets." "O.K.,," she said. "You've got it." By that time, the sheet set had gone on sale, so it was a win/win for both of us. When the sheets arrived, I laundered them and put them immediately on our bed. I couldn't wait to crawl in. That night, when my husband and I went to sleep, we luxuriated in beautiful cotton softness. In a word, the Marimekko Unikko sheet set makes us feel special. Nordstrom does that for people.

Horrible sheets

I can’t believe Nordstroms sells these they feel like sandpaper they are too short to stay tucked in. Not the merrekko luxury of the the past

cute but not great quality

I absolutely love the print, but the sheets aren’t exactly soft, and after one wash, I found a hole in the fitted sheet. :( Not the quality I expect from Marimekko or Nordstrom, honestly.

Pretreat for color fastness!

My red poppies w/ white background went red w/ pink background in very 1st wash! in warm water and reg detergent. Will return, order 2nd set, and hope pre-soaking new ones in salt and/or vinegar to set color before regular washing solves problem! Would have been nice to know in advance dear Nordstrom’s!!

flat sheet is too small

Very cute sheet set for a pop of color. However, the flat sheet just isn’t wide enough to tuck in the sheets on the sides of the mattress. All manufacturers state their fitted sheets will work with today’s thicker mattresses, but none have made the flat sheets any wider! Why?

Disappointed

The darkest pink color bled onto the white areas after the first wash - in cold in my HE washer. I love the print, but the quality is a huge disappointment because of this! This happened with the Paloma duvet too. (IKEA can keep colors separate, but not Marimekko?)

Pretty Print but Very Disappointing Quality

The fabric is rather rough and scratchy, and the quality is disappointing. The pillowcase was sewn very crookedly, and there were a couple of small spots where the dye was missing from the pattern. When I bought this brand from C&B a few years ago, the fabric was of excellent quality, and the craftsmanship was excellent. Something has gone very wrong. Pretty print, but it'll have to be returned.
