Mar Sandal

I have many pairs of Vionic sandals, but have bemoaned the fact that they had stopped using real leather instead of vinyl uppers. So I was thrilled when I saw these sandals. So cute! But so many design flaws. Vionic runs so big I have to go down at least a half a size in sandals, as I did with these. But they are so huge in the toe area that I was sliding all around in them. That problem could have been fixed if any of the front straps were adjustable. But they aren't. And these are very wide. I wear a regular 8 Medium in a flat shoe, and wear a 7- 7.5 in a Vionic sandal. But this isn't a size thing as much as a design thing. Moreover, this platform is high. The combination of having your foot not securely fastened into the shoe, along with a platform much higher than in the pictures, makes these an accident just waiting to happen. You could really hurt yourself wearing these. So be careful before you buy them. I am so disappointed. The sandal with the gold is very pretty. And Vionic needs more styles with back-straps that aren't thongs. This was going to be my summer Holy Grail. Instead these are just one unholy mess.
