Wool Blend Crop Jacket

I've been looking for a black wool bomber jacket as a spring alternative to my leather. This seemed to fit the bill although I was hesitant about the brand's quality. When it arrived, the first impression was that the wool blend looks a bit shiny and artificial--not a great start. Otherwise, the quality is good: buttons are well-sewn and don't look cheap, lining is nice, pockets are deep. As a woman with an athletic build and broad shoulders I almost always size up to a large in jackets because I can't stand the feeling of sleeves hitting above my wrists. That was unnecessary with this item. The sleeves in particular are huge. Not only are they a bit too long for my long arms but they are oddly voluminous and bulky in the forearms. The body is also very roomy and could easily accomodate a thick sweater or hoodie. Overall, it's too big for me. I'm not sure that I want to hassle with exchanging for a medium to see if I like that fit. The concept would be a useful one during Seattle spring and fall but perhaps this is not the right jacket for me. I wish it was stocked in store so I could do the whole transaction at once.
