Tried 'em all, these were my choice
I am pretty picky about having robust arch support and a roomy toebox, and tried many different boots this season, including blundstones and birkenstocks. The Dansko Makara were my top choice for comfort and looks. I live in a place with no snow but winter rain, and I am going to have to waterproof the suede. But overall am very happy to have found such a comfortable boot. The Makaras are very light compared to the others I tried, and easier to get on with the side zipper. I usually wear 38 in Dansko professionals, and the 38 fit perfectly. The seam down the middle adds a really nice touch. If these came in a dark blue color I would buy another pair in a flash.

not quite leather lining
According to Dansko website:LINING: Combination of soft lining (whatever that means aka not leather) and 100% recycled textile with odor control or 100% recycled Dri-Lex Eco for moisture management and odor control. SOCKLINING: Chrome-free leather for breathability.
that is not 100% leather lining as stated by Nordstrom so it's a no go!

Nice quality
While this booties were comfortable to my steps, they were a little high on the ankle and the zipper hit exactly on my ankle bone making it very uncomfortable. I had to put an insole to raise my foot up so it wouldn’t rub against it. But other than that, I liked them.

Attractive if a little stiff
I like the way they look and, with the exception of being a bit stiff, they are comfortable. I think once they’re broken in more, they’ll be perfect.
